The without-whoms. The folks who keep the family business running “on the ground.” High-fives from our bus driver, fist-bump the security guy, all hail the brilliant counselors, teachers, artists, coaches, mentors, role models and hard-working everybody-elses. The heart and soul and energy these folks bring to work every day creates miracles on a regular basis.
It starts with leadership, and we have a passionate executive director who loves his job…
A dedicated circle of senior staff who bring heart and soul and care…

Dr. Styles has been with APCH for over a decade, starting as the first full time counselor and rising to her current role as the Director of Counseling Services. Under her purview, counseling and case management services are offered to APCH members and their families year round, free of charge. Dr. Styles has worked to bring counseling to the forefront as a direct response to the multi-faceted problems facing the youth in South Central Los Angeles, an area plagued by violence, poor performing schools and high rates of unemployment. Focusing on behavior management, self-regulation and self-efficacy, the APCH model addresses cycles of familial dysfunction by collaborating with member families, local schools and other community based agencies to facilitate a culture of youth empowerment and healthy development.
