Home For The Holidays!

A Place Called Home hosted its annual Home for the Holidays Festival on Saturday, Dec. 15, turning the APCH field into a winter wonderland with tons of snow! We distributed 2,000 bags of toys and welcomed 2,700 individuals through our doors as we celebrated the love and warmth the holidays bring us all.
Everywhere you turned there were helpful elves working hard, distributing toys, Starbucks coffee, cocoa, pastries and free clothes. We also had angelic carolers, joyful holiday music from 102.7 KIIS FM, APCH members performing on stage, the DIFF Eyewear team gifting cool sunglasses, face painting, snow sledding and more!
For the first time on Home For The Holidays Eve we had a special movie screening and live entertainment. Camping out the night before our Home for the Holidays Festival has become a fun tradition and adventure for many of the families in our community. This year, as a special treat, we closed down 29th Street to bring those families some entertainment for the night. Our sponsors Netflix, Aftermath Entertainment, Starbucks, and WB Impact made it possible for us to screen a holiday movie to keep the kiddos entertained. Joining the fun was the very cool DJ Mando Fresko and the team from Hubwav, who played music and raffled prizes, making it a night to remember for our community!

Check out some amazing pictures from this year’s Home for the Holiday event.
