1st Annual Actors’ Showcase

May 16, 2019

If you attended APCH’s first annual Actors’ Showcase you are one of the first to witness the rise of these shining stars. A group of very talented teen members in our Theater program at APCH took the stage and showed off their acting skills to an audience of about 80 of their own peers, family, and friends in the community.  We are extremely proud of the hard work they put into their stellar performances. The young actors performed monologues that have been rehearsed throughout the course of Spring 2019 in our Monday afternoon theater class as well as our after hours #NoDramDramaClub. The stage design was put on by our Friday afternoon Design & Production class. Lighting was designed by Cristian with the assistance of Paul and Evelyn. These teens are sure to be one tough act to follow!

The APCH Theater program visits Oregon Shakespeare Festival

April 15-19, 2019

Eight teen members from within the Theater Program at APCH spent a full week in Ashland, Oregon attending the wonderful Oregon Shakespeare Festival.  APCH Members participated in workshops, tours, prologues, post-show discussions, got to know members of the OSF Staff and Acting Company, and attended a variety of wonderful plays and musicals.

This week-long immersion trip opened their eyes to the vast ecosystem at play within a professional theater community and gave everyone a fun, safe space to flex their analytical muscles.

Thank you to OSF and the FAIR Program for hosting our group and coordinating our tours and prologues.

Don’t miss out on all the excitement and all the wonderful things happening in our Theater Program! Make sure you follow us on social media, find us across the board @APCH2830!
