APCH Goes to College

APCH goes to college! Today is announcement day, our seniors announce the colleges they will be attending this fall and share some advice with our littles and middles (elementary & middle schoolers). We loved the great questions from our littles! Congratulations scholars! Watch out world, here come our scholars!

APCH Teens: 2019 Northern California College Tours

“A positive impact the trip gave me was that it actually got me into going to college. Another impact was that it motivated me to do good and stay in school because without it we basically have no future and no job. Every year the Teen & Young Adult program takes a group of high school teens to visit colleges and universities in Northern California.  This year our teens consisted of a group of current high school sophomores and juniors. We visited six schools: CSU Monterey Bay, UC Santa Cruz, UC Berkley, UC Davis, San Francisco State University, and San Jose State University.

At each school, our teens were greeted by an APCH Shaheen Scholar that guided them and answered all of their questions about life in college. It was an amazing 4 days filled with new experiences, hopes, and inspiration. College is no longer just a thought, our teens are attending college and graduating from these top universities. To date, we have sent 400 first generation scholars to college and university.
